After almost a month of trying, I finally trapped my first beaver! I wish I would have had a way to weigh him, he had to be a least 40 pounds. It took my buddy Ben and I helping each other to haul him away.
I didn’t attempt to keep his pelt, as I didn’t have time to learn that art that night, but I did save his skull to clean later.
Also, I found a great little protected corner to pitch a campsite too.
