Huge Storm after Dam Upgrade

Well, installing the drain pipes and leveling the dam only lasted a few months. In Aug 2017, we had a day where about 9 inches of rain was dumped in about 3 hours. To make matters worse, with the dam leveled out (and an average of 1.5″ feet higher almost to the end) the pond has a much higher capacity, which easily overwhelmed the 30 inches of pipe relief that was installed a few months ago.

Based on where you can see the high-water mark was moved to, this must have been quite a sight!! And, a Large portion of the newly re-rocked road was washed off into the spillway. :/
